Milkin Barn Agro Services Limited

We are an agricultural based business which involves the rearing of both exotic (Holstein) and crossbreeding of local heifers for the production of pedigree dairy stock. We also have a commercial pasture production component for grain farming, hay making and pasture seeds multiplications as well as commercial feed milling for on-farm usage and onward sales to other small holder farms especially those in the proximity of the farm.

SERVICES

Diary Enterprise

Dairy stock will be imported or sourced locally from suppliers as well as commercial dairy farm for optimal milk yields as well as provide quality calves/heifers.

Breeding Enterprise

This encompasses a breeding programme using semen of high value dairy cattle breeds along with the local herd heifers.

Forage/Pasture Enterprise

Feeding livestock with very high quality, nutritious and balanced feed is essential for optimal production of quality cattle.

Outgrower Scheme

This scheme is aimed at identifying local farmers within the localities, grouped them into cooperatives and train on best management practices.

Production Enterprise

Our dairy products, will be sold as pasteurized milk, yoghurt, cream and butter. They will be marketed in branded pouches and bottles to satisfy both the bottom and top end of the market respectively.

 This business commenced with a land size of about 2,000 hectares to allow for cultivation of green fodder and cropping of grains for both Livestock feeds and other Agricultural business activities in the first phase (1-3 years) which will later expand to 10,000 hectares within 10 years of operations adding additional 1,000 hectares every other year.
